Being a proper lady of the 1950's - Fashion Week

Good Morning to you all, and let me take you back to the 1950's!!!! I am ever so excited for you to see this blog post as I am absolutely in love with the finished look I created.

Firstly, and the most predominant aspect of the look, the suit. This is an original suit worn in the 1950's; and was once worn by a lady attending her Univeristy interview - sheek! I adore this suit so so much, I have worn the jacket with more contemporary items before and it always looks smashing! It is very fitted, and is pulled in right at the waistline, giving you a very definitive feminine figure! Hurray! If you ever find yourself in a position to purchase a vintage suit, do it - you won't regret it!

The shoes and hat I am wearing have featured in my blog before. The shoes are from Mifani Shoes and I absolutely love their range of shoes, you ought to check out their brand yourselves! My hat is from Asos and again, head over to Asos because they have a gorgeous selection of fedora and floppy hats! Lastly, the gloves I am wearing were given to me as a gift and so I am not sure where they are from; however, leather gloves are perfect for winter and I would 100% recommend River Island or Asos for leather gloves as from what I have seen whilst browsing, they have some real treasures!

Anyway, I hope you liked today's 1950's special and are inspired to get suited and booted because you cannot go wrong!

See you tomorrow!

| Festival / Holiday Look No.1 | 20/06/17 |

HELLO HELLO! So this is going to be a little 'saga' of looks I've selected that I think would be super appropriate for your summer holidays, or equally just as good as a festival outfit. I am aiming to make them as realistic as possible, in the sense that each outfit is something that I would actually wear on holiday, and also so that each look is relatively affordable and could incorporate items you already have hidden in your wardrobe, alongside more trend-based pieces. Hopefully, this will be a success and may inspire you while planning your own holiday outfits. I don't know about you guys, but I find it ever so tedious trying to plan holiday outfits, so I feel like this would help me! Lastly, I am going away soon myself, so I am hoping to use these blog posts to document outfit ideas that I will be able to wear myself! How are we all doing this morning?  I am currently sat on my bed in the late afternoon, with a hot cup of tea to hand (hopefully I won't forget about it), and I am really digging deep in my thoughts in terms of what I want to talk about today. A stressed student, on the cusp of several deadlines and all I can think about is this blog post. Blogging is a funny thing, sometimes it is my ultimate escape where I can just unwind and spill out onto the page whatever springs to mind. But sometimes, blogging can feel overwhelming, like I am being forced to think about my reality in its most raw state, and sometimes life is not all fun and games, and I just don't really want to come to terms with my busy mind.  Before I babble on about life and bore you all...

| The Truth About Student Life | 20/02/18 |

M O R N I N G  I almost feel like I've forgotten how to write a blog post, so the format of this post might be a bit 'up in the air'. Therefore, before I delve into things, here's a quick disclaimer... On the 26th December, I uploaded a blog post surrounding the topic of social media, and the influence I feel it has on the mental health of its users. Since then, I have been absent from this blog, and largely absent from social media in general, because I feel as though I've had nothing worth saying recently. I would much rather only upload when I am bringing a little something useful to the internet that even if only one person found it interesting, it would at least have a purpose.  This leads swiftly on to the subject of this post. Student life, and the truth about how it feels to experience daily life as a young adult, studying at University. I promise to not sugar coat the finer details, and to accurately portray the common notions of being a student...
